The other day I passed a thousand watchers here on DeviantArt, so I want to take the opportunity to Thank You All for Watching. A thousand people is a lot of people, you know. I have only met a few of you in real life, but it seems like you are from all over the world, which is so cool! So a thousand people: If you all stood on top of each others' shoulders, you would reach much higher than the highest point in Denmark (Which btw. is only around 800 meters high, and called "Sky Mountain") The ones at the bottom would probably be squashed from the weight, while the ones at the top would then fall over and hit their knees badly, so please

Over the last year I have started to practise painting traditionally with oils, so I am uploading some of these paintings now. Many years ago I painted with acrylics (back in the 1990s), but I never got around to oils, and I thought it could be interesting to learn it. So last summer I went on a traditional landscape oil painting course at the excellent Florence Academy of Arts. Spending your summer in Italy is highly recommended!   You can see some of the results in my gallery.
