Description

This painting is my contribution for the art group The Luminarium's 20th exhibition "Adventure", which can be seen here: [link].

The exhibition has the theme of "Adventure", so I decided to make a painting that has a classic adventurous and exotic environment, with a twist. The bridge supporting the two dogs in the middle of the painting is actually two hands holding each other, each side giving strength to the other side. So a meaning of the painting can be that meeting that special someone can be the greatest, daring adventure you can experience.

I spent around 10-15 hours on the image.

Thank you so much everyone for all the features, comments, reviews and my very first DD. It is all a bit overwhelming! :0)

Is there something more precious or beautiful in this world than the feeling of being connected with somebody? This feeling when two entities become one? No. Because this is the only moment in our life when the inner feeling of loneliness disappears...

I love the idea of tree roots, bound together, looking like two hands holding each other. In this way, they allow other creatures to meet and be friends. The point is that nobody is meant to be alone, people, animals... plants and roots also long for companion...

You present a dark surrounding, a forest which was once divided in two but the division has disappeared as nature united it. Around the hands there is a warm aura which you managed to show by using light colours. This gengtle hold is something which I believe most of US ALL miss very much in our lifes. We miss warm feelings nowadays, although we are afraid to say it aloud.

My statement is that:
A concept can connect people for a few moments,
But a feeling has the power to unite for eternity...
