Attacked by the Space Pirates by JakobHansson Attacked by the Space Pirates by JakobHansson
Photoshop CS5, Wacom Ituos 4M
Original size 10000 x 5000 pixels

Original title is: Attacked by the Flying Undead Space Pirates!

This was done in a very long afternoon sitting which turned into late night. When something is fun I tend to forget those breaks.
I started out doodling around with shapes and colours and after a while a pirat ship and a destroyed bridge magically appeared!
If they continue making those Pirates of the Caribbean films, they will eventually end up in space, so consider this my ode to PotC nr 38.

Oh Dear!

This one brings back memories from my childhood!

Have you ever heard of an anime (japanese Cartoon) called Captain Harlock?

The vessel of your pirated is curiously resemblant of it!

Great piece non the less!

your strokes are getting finer and finer and your sense of detail much more pushed than before.

Cheers!

In French it is called Albator.

It dates back from the 80's.

Here are some links to the space pirate vessel pictures!

There were 2 series and 2 vessels. I put both types for you to see the resemblance with your drawing

One vessel is Altantis the other Arcadia.

Sorry I'm hopeless sometimes!

Pure geek in action!

Cheers!

My first thought was a "modern" version of Peter Pan, but PotC #38 is also great, haha.
It's cool, anyway! :D
